Ingredients:

  • 30 fresh figs
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 8 oz goat cheese
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp flaky sea salt
  • 1/4 cup toasted walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • Fresh thyme leaves

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Using a paring knife, slice a cross-shaped opening into the top of each fig, cutting about halfway through the center. Gently press the sides to open the pocket.
  3. In a small bowl, whip the softened goat cheese with sea salt and heavy cream until smooth.
  4. Spoon or pipe approximately 1 teaspoon of the cheese mixture into the center of each fig.
  5. Drizzle the tops of the figs with honey.
  6. Bake for 8–10 minutes until fragrant and the cheese is soft and slightly golden.
  7. Garnish with chopped toasted walnuts, a drizzle of balsamic glaze, and fresh thyme leaves.
