Ingredients:
- 30 fresh figs
- 2 tbsp honey
- 8 oz goat cheese
- 1 tbsp heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp flaky sea salt
- 1/4 cup toasted walnuts, chopped
- 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
- Fresh thyme leaves
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Using a paring knife, slice a cross-shaped opening into the top of each fig, cutting about halfway through the center. Gently press the sides to open the pocket.
- In a small bowl, whip the softened goat cheese with sea salt and heavy cream until smooth.
- Spoon or pipe approximately 1 teaspoon of the cheese mixture into the center of each fig.
- Drizzle the tops of the figs with honey.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes until fragrant and the cheese is soft and slightly golden.
- Garnish with chopped toasted walnuts, a drizzle of balsamic glaze, and fresh thyme leaves.
