Ingredients:

  • 2 oz high-rye bourbon
  • 1 tbsp cranberry preserves
  • 0.5 oz pure Grade A maple syrup
  • 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 fresh rosemary sprig

Instructions:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the bourbon, cranberry preserves, maple syrup, lemon juice, and bitters. Drop in one cinnamon stick.
  2. Fill the shaker to the brim with large ice cubes. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15 seconds until the shaker is frost-covered and the preserves have emulsified.
  3. Double-strain the mixture through a Hawthorne strainer and a fine-mesh sieve into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice to remove fruit solids and cinnamon shards.
  4. Slap a rosemary sprig against your palm to release aromatics and garnish the glass.
