Ingredients:

  • 4 cups fresh seedless watermelon chunks (2 cups may be frozen for a thicker texture)
  • 7 ounces Tequila Blanco
  • 4 ounces fresh lime juice
  • 2 ounces agave nectar (100% Blue Agave)
  • 4 cups ice (if not using frozen watermelon)
  • 1 tablespoon Kosher salt or Tajín seasoning (for rimming)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Watermelon Base: Cube the 4 cups of seedless watermelon. For a frozen margarita, freeze 2 cups of the chunks ahead of time to achieve a thick, less icy texture.
  2. Blend the Ingredients: In a powerful blender, combine the watermelon chunks (fresh or frozen), 7 ounces of Tequila Blanco, 4 ounces of fresh lime juice, and 2 ounces of agave nectar. Add 4 cups of ice if using entirely fresh watermelon chunks.
  3. Process and Strain: Blend until completely smooth. For the smoothest final product, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any stringy pulp, though this is optional.
  4. Prepare Glasses: Moisten the rims of 4 margarita glasses with a lime wedge and dip the rims into Kosher salt or Tajín seasoning.
  5. Serve: Pour the blended watermelon margarita mixture into the prepared glasses. Garnish with a lime slice or small watermelon wedge and serve immediately.
