Ingredients:
- 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced peaches with sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Let the mixture sit for 5–10 minutes to allow the cornstarch to hydrate.

- Whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk in a bowl until just combined.
- Pour the batter directly over the melted butter without stirring.
- Spoon the prepared peach mixture evenly over the top of the batter without stirring.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the crust is deep golden brown and the fruit juices are bubbling.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes to let the filling set before serving.
