Ingredients:

  • 24 standard Oreo cookies
  • 24 pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 24 small candy eyeballs

Instructions:

  1. Twist the Oreo cookies apart, keeping the half with the creme intact. Note: This creates the body of the spider.
  2. Snap the pretzel sticks in half to create 48 equal lengths. until you hear a clean snap
  3. Place chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and heat in 30 second intervals, stirring between bursts, until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  4. Spoon melted chocolate into a plastic bag and snip a tiny corner off.
  5. Pipe a small dot of chocolate onto the back of the Oreo creme.
  6. Press four pretzel halves into the chocolate on each side to create eight legs. Note: Do this quickly before the chocolate sets.
  7. Pipe two tiny dots of chocolate onto the front of the Oreo head.
  8. Press one candy eyeball into each dot until they are securely seated.
  9. Transfer the spiders to a parchment lined tray.
  10. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes until the chocolate is firm and matte.
