Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground turkey (lean)
  • 1 cup broccoli, very finely minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup mild cheddar cheese, finely shredded
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. Mince the broccoli until it resembles coarse sand. If using a food processor, pulse 3-4 times to ensure no large pieces remain.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, minced broccoli, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, shredded cheese, garlic powder, and salt.
  3. Mix the ingredients using hands or a spatula until the mixture is fully incorporated and feels tacky and cohesive.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Scoop approximately 1 tablespoon of the mixture, roll into a small ball, and gently press into a disc shape about 3/4 inch thick.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18-20 minutes until the edges are mahogany-colored and the centers are firm.
