Ingredients:

  • 1 package (12 oz / 340g) Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 4 tbsp (56g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1.5 cups (170g) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup (113g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 tsp (1.5g) garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) melted butter
  • 1 tbsp (8g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp (1g) dried parsley

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
  2. Using a serrated knife, slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally to create one large top piece and one large bottom piece.
  3. Place the bottom half in the pan. Layer the combined cheddar and mozzarella evenly across the bread.
  4. Sprinkle the garlic powder over the cheese, then replace the top slab of rolls.
  5. Brush the melted butter generously over the top of the rolls, ensuring it seeps into the crevices between the buns.
  6. Bake for 8–10 minutes until the tops are mahogany-colored and the cheese is visibly bubbling.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 2 minutes before slicing into individual Grilled Cheese Sandwich Bites.
