Ingredients:

  • 2 (170g) salmon fillets, center-cut, skin-on
  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp sea salt
  • 0.25 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 3 tbsp raw honey
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced into a fine paste
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions:

  1. Remove the 2 (170g) salmon fillets from the fridge and pat them dry with kitchen paper.
  2. Rub 1 tsp olive oil over the flesh, then sprinkle with 0.5 tsp sea salt and 0.25 tsp black pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together 3 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp lemon juice, 3 cloves minced garlic, and 0.5 tsp smoked paprika.
  4. Set your device to 200°C and let it run for 5 minutes.
  5. Place the salmon in the basket, skin side down. Air fry for 4 minutes until the edges begin to turn opaque.
  6. Open the basket and generously brush half of the honey garlic mixture over the top of the fillets.
  7. Close the basket and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until the glaze is bubbling and dark amber.
  8. Insert your thermometer; you are looking for 60°C to 63°C for a perfect medium.
  9. Transfer the salmon to a plate and let it sit for 2 minutes.
  10. Drizzle any remaining glaze from the bowl over the hot fillets before serving.
