Ingredients:
- 2 (170g) salmon fillets, center-cut, skin-on
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 0.5 tsp sea salt
- 0.25 tsp cracked black pepper
- 3 tbsp raw honey
- 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced into a fine paste
- 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions:
- Remove the 2 (170g) salmon fillets from the fridge and pat them dry with kitchen paper.
- Rub 1 tsp olive oil over the flesh, then sprinkle with 0.5 tsp sea salt and 0.25 tsp black pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together 3 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp lemon juice, 3 cloves minced garlic, and 0.5 tsp smoked paprika.
- Set your device to 200°C and let it run for 5 minutes.
- Place the salmon in the basket, skin side down. Air fry for 4 minutes until the edges begin to turn opaque.
- Open the basket and generously brush half of the honey garlic mixture over the top of the fillets.
- Close the basket and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until the glaze is bubbling and dark amber.
- Insert your thermometer; you are looking for 60°C to 63°C for a perfect medium.
- Transfer the salmon to a plate and let it sit for 2 minutes.
- Drizzle any remaining glaze from the bowl over the hot fillets before serving.
