Ingredients:

  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • Cold water for ice bath

Instructions:

  1. Place 6 large eggs into the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring space for air circulation. For air fryers prone to hot spots, let cold eggs sit out for 5 minutes before air frying.
  2. Set the air fryer temperature to 270°F (132°C). Cook for 15 minutes for a classic hard-boiled texture.
  3. While the eggs cook, prepare a medium bowl filled with cold water and 2 cups of ice cubes.
  4. Immediately after the timer ends, use tongs to transfer the hot eggs into the prepared ice bath.
  5. Allow the eggs to sit in the ice bath for at least 10 minutes to stop the cooking process and ensure the membrane separates from the shell.
  6. Gently tap the eggs to crack the shell and peel under cool running water or inside the ice bath.
